Gladys Booth Patterson

Gladys Booth Patterson, 102, of Lynchburg passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022. She was the wife of the late Earl William Patterson.
Gladys was born in Campbell County on September 13, 1919, a daughter of the late George Marvin Booth, Sr. and Katie Thompson Booth. Gladys worked as a Charge Aide at the Central Virginia Training Center and was a member of Thomas Terrace Baptist Church.
She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son Stephan William Patterson, four brothers: Steven Russell Booth, George M. Booth, Jr., John E. Booth, and Clarence A. Booth, Sr., two sisters, Lura B. Carwile and Virginia B. Coffey.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg.
A graveside service for Gladys will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2022 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Mark Grooms officiating.
In lieu of flowers please consider making memorial contributions to either Meals on Wheels or to Thomas Terrace Baptist Church.
