Gladys Nichols Aaron was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on January 21, 2021 at age 75 after a courageous battle with Covid 19.
She was born to Morgan and Mattie Nichols on August 22, 1945. She was born and raised in Franklin County, Virginia with 12 brothers and sisters on their family farm. She married Frank Aaron after moving to Roanoke, Virginia in 1967. Over her lifetime, Gladys was a loyal employee to Kroger.
Gladys cherished spending time with her grandchildren. Some of her favorite moments were time spent making biscuits with her grandchildren in the kitchen. She also relished creating delicious meals for her family and was fearless when it came to experimenting as a home cook and a Kroger employee. She also was a skilled embroiderer and loved sewing special creations for family and friends.
Gladys is survived by her husband, Frank, of 53 years. Gladys’ daughter, Stephanie, her husband, Joseph, and their four children, Brittani, Alexis, Morgan, and Joseph will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
A small graveside service is scheduled at Fairview Cemetery in 3 weeks. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital on her behalf.
