Glenna Drohn

Glenna Mildred Swanson Drohn, age 90, of Lynchburg, VA, formerly of Eaton Rapids, Howell, and Waterford, MI, passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. She was born on August 27, 1933, in Brant, Saginaw County, Michigan, the daughter of George Alexander Swanson and Evelyn Lucille French.

 Glenna had survived her beloved husband of 56 years, Thomas Roy Drohn, having been married February 2, 1952 in Pontiac, MI. Beloved mother of Lucinda Drohn of Brookneal, VA, Stephen (Marge) Drohn of Howell, Mi, Cheryl (late Steven) Kapff of Eaton Rapids, Mi. Preceded in death by sons Gregory (Yong) Drohn of Dothan, AL and Joseph (Jennifer) Drohn of Las Vegas, NV; extended family, Mary (Al) Peltier of White Lake, MI. Also surviving are 9 grandsons and 3 granddaughters with numerous greats & great-great-grandchildren. Surviving her are siblings Genevieve March of Torch Lake, MI. and Sandy Whitman of Texas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Charlotte & Leona June. 

 Glenna was an avid collector of Precious Moments and anything "bee" as well as doing puzzles and games on her tablet. Her constant companion for 16 years was her precious chihuahua, Peanut. The passing of Peanut was a great loss during her last year. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Pontiac, MI. and had been attending Thomas Road Baptist Church, Lynchburg, VA. She will be cremated, and a Celebration of her life will be held at a later date in Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Liberty University School of Nursing Scholarship Fund in her honor.

Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
