Gloria Tweedy Martin passed away on October 20, 2016, at Heartland Medical Care Center after a long illness.
She was born on August 21, 1943, and was the daughter of the late William Howard Tweedy, and is survived by her loving mother, Nora Smith Tweedy. In addition to her mother, Gloria is survived by her aunt, Margaret Tweedy, and many loving cousins and their extended families.
Gloria retired from A.O Smith after 30 years of service. She loved country music and travelling and took every opportunity for a cruise or vacation.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. John E. Williams for his excellent care through many years and to the staff of Heartland, floor 2A, for the loving care shown to her in the past 4 months.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. in Spring Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the requests memorial gifts be made to your favorite charity.
