Gloria Laura Weiss

Gloria L. McCollum O’Mara Butler Weiss, 86, of Madison Heights, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014. Born October 16, 1927 in Niagara Falls, NY; she was a daughter of the late Clyde A. McCollum and Ruth Bradley McCollum.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was predeceased by two husbands; Robert K. Butler, and Oliver Weiss, her daughter Kathleen O’Mara, and a brother, Clyde McCollum. Surviving are sons; Gary O’Mara, Patrick O’Mara and wife, Bonnie, Dale Butler and wife and adopted daughter Susan, Mark Butler, brothers; Floyd McCollum, Paul McCollum, Gene McCollum (Lee), sisters; Marion Keller, Judy Gomez (Mike), grandchildren; Kenny Butler, David Butler, Timothy Butler, Tiffany O’Mara, and Kevin O’Mara.
Gloria was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 50 years and taught many people Bible truths. She touched many with her kindness, compassion, and generosity; leaving fine examples for others to follow. She will be dearly missed by all those lives she touched.
Many thanks to her caregivers, Willie and Kate, and Gentle Shepherd Hospice for their excellent care and devotion to Gloria. A special thanks to Tammy, Marilyn, June, Jen, and Kim.
A Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses: 2231 South Amherst Hwy, Amherst, VA 24521.
In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses or to Gentle Shepherd Hospice: 22667 Timberlake Road Lynchburg, VA 24502.
