Grace Mildred Dennis Harvey

Grace Mildred Dennis Harvey, 98, of Lynchburg passed away peacefully Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Runk & Pratt Senior Living Community at Leesville Road, Born on, January 15, 1921 in Campbell Co., Va. to Robert W. Dennis and Rebecca Matthews Dennis.
Grace was the youngest of seven children and was preceded in death by her husband, Moses L. Harvey; brothers, Charles W. Dennis, Robert W. Dennis, John L. Dennis; sisters, Edna Dennis Fore, Lillian Dennis and Anne Ross Dennis.
Grace accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at First St. Paul Baptist Church, Gladys, Va. Having moved to New York City at the age of 19, Grace worked at the flagship location of Saks Fifth Avenue for 39 years and frequently attended Convent Avenue Baptist Church in Harlem.
Grace leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughter, Jacqueline Jones of Lynchburg; granddaughters, Kenya Watkins and Cesley Watkins, both of Chesterfield; nephews, Robert Fore (Judy), William Fore (Christine) and Calvin Fore all of Gladys; nieces, Sherranne Anderson (James) and Tayma Anderson; lifelong best friend Lucy Anderson and a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 1 p.m. at First St. Paul Baptist Church, Gladys, VA.
