Grace Robinson, 89, of Lynchburg, departed this life on Wednesday, August 30, 2017.
Grace was born Friday, June 8, 1928, a daughter of the late Haywood Robinson, Sr. and Lucille Robinson. She was baptized at an early age and attended Lynchburg Public Schools.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Brian “Butch” Robinson, Samuel “Skippy” Jones, Tyrone “Bobby” Robinson; five sisters, and two brothers.
Grace is survived by a sister, Doris Dailey of Lynchburg; a sister-in-law, Alice Robinson of Roanoke; her children, Deborah Jennings (Albert), Sandra Morrison, Gracie Walker (Rochelle), Melvin Robinson (Zanita), Michael Robinson, and Byron Robinson (Lee); and she was blessed with a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Grace’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Diamond Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Burial Park. Her remains will lie in repose one hour prior to the service.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
