Gracie Jane Hurt Boone, 80, of Bedford, died Monday, August 10, 2015 at Oakwood Health & Rehab Center. She was the wife of the late Norval Atwater Boone.
Born July 13, 1935 in Bedford, she was a daughter of the late, Allen Monroe Hurt and Gracie Wilson Hurt. Gracie is also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Frances Bradley and brother, James Monroe Hurt.
Gracie Jane is survived by her sons, Eddie Bradley and wife, Joan, Kevin Bradley and wife, Nancy, and Mark Bradley; daughters, Patricia Crockett and husband, Richard, Deborah Bradley, and Jennifer “Paris” Peacock; stepchildren, N.A. Boone, Jr., Barbara Witt, and Amy Quesenberry; sister, Dorothy H. Bradley; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Friday, August 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Tharp Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in Wilson Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
