Gracie Shumate Cash, 74, of Lynchburg, Va., died Wednesday, January 17, 2018. She was the wife of Ralph Cash for 51 years.
Gracie was born February 6, 1943 in Drakes Branch, Va., a daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Shumate and the late Emma Farris Shumate.
Gracie attended Parkview United Methodist Church and retired from GE Ericsson.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Cash (Scott) of Largo, Fla., and Sherry Combes (Brad) of Concord; two grandsons, Evan Combes and Caden Combes, both of Concord; one sister, Hazel Barley of Hurt; one brother, Pete Shumate of Anaheim, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, 220 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, Va. 24502.
