Gregory Alan Maharg, 58, of Lynchburg went to be with his Lord Thursday December 31, 2015. He was the devoted husband of Nancy A. Maharg.
Gregory was born March 8, 1957 in Evansville, IN a son of the late W. Dean Maharg and Pat L. Breivogel Maharg of Evansville, IN. Gregory worked as a project engineer for Bristol Myers and then later Abbott Labs in Altavista. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Lynchburg.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his son Nathan Maharg and wife, Caitie, of Waynesboro; a brother, Brian K. Maharg, and wife, Kris, of Cincinnati, Ohio; and four nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday January 4, 2016 at Heritage Baptist Church, 219 Breezewood Dr.
A Celebration of Gregory’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday January 5, 2016 in the chapel of Heritage Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Kroll officiating.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the members of Heritage Baptist Church and the caregivers of Cadence Companions for their loving care for the last three years.
