Gregory Lewis Robinson

Gregory Lewis Robinson, 76 of Lynchburg, VA passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024 after a long illness. Greg was born on October 30, 1948 in Welch, WV to the late Willie Lou Webb Robinson Martin and the late William Lewis Robinson. Greg was also preceded in death by his life partner, Robert "Bobby" Gowen, Jr. He is survived by three brothers, William Jeffrey Robinson (Cindy Campbell Robinson), L. Anthony Robinson, Michael Graham Robinson (Joanne Witt Robinson), one sister, Myra Lynn Robinson, one niece, nephews and cousins.

Greg moved to Wytheville, VA as a teenager, graduated from George Wythe High School and attended Wytheville Community College. He later moved to Roanoke to attend Hollywood School of Beauty. After completion, he relocated to Lynchburg. Here, he was beloved by his clients and established a long and very successful career as a top talent in the hair styling industry.

Greg's favorite pastimes were gardening, decorating and caring for his pets. After retiring, he developed a passion for painting. We wish to thank the caregivers at Oakwood Health and Rehab, his home health care provider and friend, Erik Cranney as well as Jasmine Franklin and her staff at Westminster at Home Hospice.

Greg will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Anyone desiring to make a memorial contribution should consider the Lynchburg Humane Society.
