Our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, Hans Peter Lubbert, 53, of Madison Heights, Virginia, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 5, 2019.
He was born on October 24, 1965 in Greenwich, Connecticut to his parents John and Inger (Andersen) Lubbert.
Hans grew up in Stamford, CT where he studied carpentry at Wright Tech School. He went on to earn a certificate at Word of Life Bible School. Hans took up the trade of carpentry and enjoyed playing hockey, camping, hiking, biking, swimming and many other activities. In later years, when he wasn’t hanging out with his good friend Whitney or going to a Liberty sporting event, he filled his time with studying the Bible and Biblical prophecies.
Hans loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and regularly attended church, Bible studies, and Sunday school. He longed to be with the Lord. He was known by all as a kind and gentle man.
Hans is survived by beloved mother Inger Marie Lubbert; sister Marian Beth Lubbert; brother Eric John Lubbert (Anna-Liisa); nephew Peter; nieces, Carolyn and Rebecca; uncles, cousins, and friends. Hans was preceded in death by his father John Milton Lubbert.
