Harold Attwood Hudson, 80, of Lynchburg, VA, died Friday, May 18, 2012, at his residence.
Born January 7, 1932 in Campbell County, Virginia, Harold was a son of the late James Smiley Hudson and Carrie Martin Hudson.
In addition to his father Harold was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Hudson, a sister, Hazel Williams, a brother, Lewis Hudson, and a grandson, Jeremy Austin.
In addition to his mother Harold is survived, by his six children: Michael Hudson, of Lynchburg, Brenda Tucker (Jeff), of Forest, Randy Hudson (Eileen), of Columbus, NC, Darryl Hudson, of Lynchburg, Cheryl Davis, of Lynchburg, and Valerie Bailess (Steve), of Lynchburg; his second wife, Jeanette Hudson, and her children, Jay Lindsay, of Lynchburg, Susan Mallow, of Lynchburg, Neal Lindsay (Beth), of Lynchburg, Steve Lindsay, of Lynchburg, and his grandchildren: Melissa and Robin Hudson, Ashley Machut (McLean), Scott Tucker (Vanessa), Katie Lee (Michael), Sarah Tucker, Kendall Hudson, Chris Mason, Amber Culp (Cody), Kristen Pollard, Whitney Collurafici (Ben), Amanda Cash, Julian Pollard, Michael Mallow (Sarah), Chelsea Lindsay, and Evan Lindsay, and two sisters: Margie Maddox, and Doris Ewers
The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2012 at College Hill Baptist Church, 1101 Floyd Street, Lynchburg, with the Rev. Andrew P. Grose officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post 16.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to College Hill Baptist Church Boiler Fund, 1101 Floyd Street, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
