Harold Robert Hicks, 68, of Gretna, passed away, Friday, July 1, 2016 at his residence. He was the loving husband of Mary Moses-Hicks.
Born February 20, 1948, he was a son of the late Lewis E. Hicks and Carrie S. Hicks. Harold was a retired guidance counselor from George Washington High School. He is also preceded in death by his brother Joseph Hicks.
Harold was a member of Matoaca Methodist Church. He enjoyed dancing, hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Stephanie Meyer and husband Tim; two step sons, Wayne Moses wife Lisa, and Doug Moses; grandchildren, Andrew Meyer, Patrick Meyer, Jacob Meyer, Hagan Meyer, Robin Crawley , Megan Companion, Ricky Companion;
great-grandchildren, Tyler Crawley, Trey Crawley, Braylon Pickeral; and special friends, M.H. Herndon and Dean Raines.
