Harriet Langford Keesee
Harriet Elizabeth Langford Keesee, 77, of Evington, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. She was the loving wife of Jesse Milton Keesee for 60 years.
Born on January 5, 1936 at home in Forest, VA, Harriet was a daughter of the late Leighton Theodore Langford, Sr. and Helen Overstreet Langford. She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed gardening, and was a life-long member of Salem United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, Harriet is survived by her children: Carolyn Elizabeth Keesee Barley (Thomas), Kathryn Virginia Keesee Cunningham (Danny), Anne Renee Keesee Crance (Gerry), Michelle Lynne Kessee Oakley (Bill) Michael Edward Keesee (Sue), and David Wayne Keesee (Robin), 12 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Marjorie Warren (J. E.), Rosalie L. Murray (G. E.), Nancy L. Friend (Rick), Leighton T. Langford (Susan), John A. Langford (Joanne), and Scott M. Langford (Margaret).
In addition to her parents, Harriet was predeceased by her stepmother, Ineze Scott Langford.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Salem United Methodist Church with the Reverend Chuck Schooler officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 157, Evington, VA 24550.
