Harris Talmadge Carroll , 66, of Evington, Va., died Wednesday, April 13, 2016. He was the devoted husband of Patricia Carroll.
Harris was born Monday, September 12, 1949 in Bedford, Va. He worked for the Lynchburg Foundry Company until his retirement. He enjoyed classic antique vehicles and car racing. Harris was a loving man and father who will be sorely missed by his wife, Patricia Carroll; children, James Bronson Carroll, Serena Platner, and Thomas Lee; brother, Arthur Carroll.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Goff Wright; his brother, Robert Lee Carroll.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A celebration of Harris’ life will be held at Tharp Funeral Home’s Lynchburg Chapel on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Marvin Suitt officiating. Interment will follow in Big Island Cemetery.
