Harry Eugene Pearson

Harry Eugene Pearson, 94, of Lynchburg, passed away Monday, November 11, 2024. He was the husband of Neta Hare Pearson of Lynchburg.

Harry “Gene” was born August 11, 1930, in Shelbyville, Tennessee, a son of the late John Herbert Pearson and Maggie Ray Pearson. Harry honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy and was retired from General Electric where he worked as a Financial Manager. He was also a parishioner of Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife he is survived by daughter Patricia Lane (Steve) of New Market, AL, step-daughter Marsha Burks of Lynchburg, six grandchildren: Christopher Congo (Tamara) of Camden, TN, Michael Pearson (David) of New York City, NY, Thomas Lane of Huntsville, AL, Jessica Gaines (Grant) of Huntsville, AL, Jospeh Lane (Sable) of New Market, AL, and Shannon Godfrey of Huntsville, AL, and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Edward A. Pearson and a brother Billy H. Pearson. 

A Memorial Service for Gene will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in the chapel at Runk & Pratt at Liberty Ridge, 30 Monica Blvd., Lynchburg, VA. 24502
