Harry Vincent Harris, 56, of Madison Heights died Friday, January 25, 2019. He was the devoted husband of Monica Lynn Harris.
Harry was born in Norfolk on August 27, 1962, a son of the late Sterling Franklin Harris and Evelyn Thomas Harris.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children; DeWayne Smith of Roanoke, Steven Donald of Gretna, Jennifer Brewer of Lynchburg, Brittney Schmelz of Lynchburg, Christopher Lewis of California, Karlee Lewis, Kayla Lewis and Godson, James Nance, Jr.; 18 grandchildren, Autumn, Landon, Lyrik, Aleigha, Aria; Kaleb, Krystian, Kyle, Joseph; Ma’Kylee, J’Nyia, Shiloh Jr., Blake, Ginger, Breanna, Elisha, Brycen, Kayden, and brother, Melvin Smith.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Bruce Sterling Harris, Jr.
A Memorial Service for Harry will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2019 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Madison Heights. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
