Harry Lewis Warrick

Harry Lewis Warrick, known to many as a loving husband, father and respected member of the community, was Promoted to Glory at the age of 80 on Saturday, June 28, 2025. He was born in Sewickley, PA, to Bertha and Branch Warrick on October 19, 1944.

Harry graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in accounting. He went on to serve in the United States Army before joining Metropolitan Police Department in Washington D.C as a motorcycle officer until his retirement. His dedication to serving his country and community did not stop there. Harry volunteered with The Salvation Army in Lynchburg, VA, where he touched the lives of many with his kindness and generosity. He also served as the Vice President and President of the Blue Knights Virginia Il police motorcycle club, showcasing his commitment to public service.

One of Harry's most cherished traits was his willingness to always lend a helping hand to those in need. He had a passion for woodworking and creating beautiful pieces with his hands, a skill that brought him much joy and fulfillment.

Harry is survived by his loving wife Jamie, his brother Elwood Warrick (Eloise), his daughter Miyan Thomas (Joe), his stepchildren John & Sherri Wagurak, Frank and Rhomaleta Wagurak, Krystle and Anthony Brearley, as well as his adored grandchildren: Lily, Landon, Sebastien, Naomi, Dorian, and Veronica.

Harry will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, dedication to service, and his ability to touch the lives of all those he encountered. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of Harry's life will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Tharp Funeral Home in Madison Heights, VA at 11:00 am with chaplain Sheri Campbell officiating.
