Hattie Thomas Bruce
Hattie Thomas Bruce, 87, of Lynchburg, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013. She was the daughter of the late John Thomas Dudley and Hattie Mason Dudley. Hattie worked for Lynchburg City Schools until she retired.
She is survived by her son, Robert Bruce and his wife Michele of Quicksburg, Virginia, and her daughter Loretta Stanley of Yorktown, Virginia. Hattie was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Bruce, and her daughter, Carolyn Burke.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, with the Pastor Jay Logan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
