Haywood Jones

Haywood Jones, 68, of Madison Heights, Va., departed this life on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at his residence. He was born on April 5, 1949, the son of Elizabeth Jones Harvey.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Orpah “Diane” Jones; three daughters, Arneatha Denise Brown, Lakeisha Jones, and Sharhonda Jones; one son, James Brown; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Haywood was a Dunbar High School graduate and attended Phillips Business College. He was employed at Griffin Pipe for 18 years, and enjoyed fishing, traveling, and also being an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. He was a member of Peaceful Baptist Church.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Peaceful Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Everhart officiating.
