Helen Denton Hartless, 89, of Lynchburg, VA, died Saturday, January 10, 2015. She was the wife of the late Roby Beattie Hartless.
Mrs. Hartless was born Thursday, April 9, 1925, in Lynchburg, VA, a daughter of the late Charles Espey Denton and the late Rosa Morris Denton. She retired from General Electric and was a member of First Assembly of God.
She is survived by a son: Galen B. Hartless and his wife, Brenda of Powhatan, VA; five grandchildren: Tammy Hartless, Robert Hartless, Michael Hartless, Jr., Christopher Hartless, and Leigh Ann Marie Hartless; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael W. Hartless, and brothers: Herman “Buddy” E. Denton, Junior “Spud” Denton, and Wilbur “Popeye” Denton.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Spring Hill Cemetery with Rev. Gilbert Foster officiating.
