Helen Edith Adeline Long Bramlett

Helen Edith Adeline Long Bramlett, 87, of Moneta, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Montvale on March 8, 1937, to the late Crowder Roosevelt Long and Annie Mae Higgins Long. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lilbert Henry Bramlett.

Helen and her husband started their family business in farming and excavating around 60 years ago. She was active in the SML Moose Lodge and was a member of the SML Eagles. Helen loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her door was always open, and she would take care of everyone who passed through her door.  She will be missed by all who know her.

She is survived by her son, Lester Bramlett and wife, Vicki; grandchildren, Shane Ray Bramlett and Anna Sue Bramlett; great-grandchildren, Chayla Rae Bramlett, Madison Pearl Bramlett, Brittany Alethia Bramlett, Joseph Conner Hull, Jeanne Orion Hull, Isaiah Henry Harvey, and William Joseph Bramlett; great great-grandchildren, Esmae Adaline Houser and Waylon Sky Bramlett; special companion, Howard Noel,  and special nieces, Dawn Hess and Sylvia Helmick, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by her siblings, James Long, Sadie Harris, Estel Long, Johnnie Long, Philmore Long, Lawrence Ednee Long, Elwood Long

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Peaks View Christian Church in her name. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Centra Hospice, Dr Kurt Hubach and his nursing staff, and special caregivers Dawn Hess, Brittany Bramlett, and Rachel Hess.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Peaks View Christian Church, 1604 Moneta Rd, Bedford, VA 24523 with Pastor Ricky St. Clair officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at 1:00 p.m.
