Helen Stokes Brown

Helen Stokes Brown, 93, of Lynchburg passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Runk and Pratt Forest. She was the wife of the late Carl “Rudy” Brown.
She was born in New Boston, OH on July 30, 1929 she was a daughter of the late Aquilla Stokes and Rose Stokes. She was a member of Sandusky Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by an infant son, Rudy Brown, Jr.; a granddaughter Renee Morris and three siblings, Leonard Stokes, Frank Stokes and Priscilla Brooks.
She is survived by her three daughters, Rosie Morris (Stan), Susan Wallin (Bob) and Becky Morris (Todd); two brothers, Richard Stokes and Burt Stokes; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and a special niece Beth Phelps.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm Monday, May 15, 2023 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg with a graveside service to be held at 2:00 pm Monday, May 15, 2023 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Ed. Vogt officiating.
