Henry Harris Irby, Jr.

Henry Harris Irby, Jr., 85 of Lynchburg died Thursday September 17, 2014 he was the devoted husband of Kathleen Reese Irby for over 64 years.
Harris was born August 25, 1929 in Campbell County a son of the late Henry Harris Irby, Sr. and the late Cora Brooks Irby. Henry was a charter member of Seaford Baptist Church and was a gifted entrepreneur and owned and operated many businesses.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Gary Irby and his wife Susan of Lynchburg, four grandchildren: Sonia, Madalana, Chris, and Lauren, four great-grandchildren: Cassady, Tyler, Nadia and Joshua, three brothers: Hunter, Alan, and Wayne Irby, and one sister Carolyn Cunningham.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son Malcom Irby.
A Memorial Service for Harris will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday September 20, 2014 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with the Rev. Steve Cole officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
