Herman Clarence Massie

Herman Clarence Massie, 86, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at his residence. Born in Bedford, on June 27, 1926 a son of the late Clarence Henry Massie and Annie Layne Massie. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Homie Keesee and Nellie Arrington; three brothers, Jake Massie, Walter Massie and Harry Massie.

Herman served his county in the United States Army during WWII.

Herman is survived by his loving wife, Emily Pauline Mason Massie; two sons, Michael H. Massie of Bedford and Baron R. Massie and his girlfriend, Shelley of Bedford; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; one Brother, Robert Massie of Bedford; one sister, Lucy Pinon of Bedford; also numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of Herman\"™s life will be conducted at 12 noon on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Chapel.
