Hermione Joy Wommack
Hermione Joy Wommack, 62, of Evington, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 7, 2010. She was the wife of Timothy R. Wommack.
Mrs. Wommack was born Saturday, Aug. 2, 1947, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the daughter of the late Norman Kennard and Daphne Plummer Kennard. She worked for Campbell County schools, where she was a Spanish teacher. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Free Church and a missionary with Outreach to Asian Nationals.
Hermione lived her middle name, \"Joy,\" because she was always smiling and laughing, a kid at heart. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was always there for her family. She took joy in sharing the love of Jesus Christ with her family and friends. She was a good role model and touched the lives of many as a school teacher for 25 years. She added value and enriched all those she came in contact with.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Eric Stickle and wife Rebecca, Travis Stickle and wife, Sabrena, Shane Stickle and wife, Amy; her stepchildren, Jamie Grey and husband, Forrest, Timothy A. Wommack, Jessica Wommack, Stacey Campbell, Matthew Wommack and Nathaniel Wommack; and nine grandchildren.
A celebration of Hermione\"™s life will be conducted at 6 p.m Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Grace Evangelical Free Church with the Rev. Mark Fesmire officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. There will be a private family burial.
