Hilda Gillissen Lohmeyer

Hilda Gillissen Lohmeyer, 99, of Huddleston, died Monday, June 11, 2012. Born September 11, 1912 in Hamburg, Germany; she was a daughter of the late Anton Gillissen and Sophie Slinvczynska Gillissen and the widow of Edward Lohmeyer. Hilda was also preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Lohmeyer.She was a member of Staunton Baptist Church.

Hilda is survived by her son; Robert \"Bob\" Lohmeyer and wife, Virginia \"Gini\" of Huddleston, VA, five grandchildren; Robert Lohmeyer, Jr. and wife, Michelle of Brick, NJ, Kathleen Kuharski and husband, James of Huddleston, VA, Diane Alton and husband, Gerald of Brick, NJ, Brian Lohmeyer and wife, Michelle of Brick, NJ, David Lohmeyer and wife, Nicole of Malvern, PA, eight great-grandchildren; Geoffrey Lohmeyer and wife, Kristen of Toms River, NJ, Victoria Kuharski and Elizabeth Kuharski, both of Huddleston, VA, Derek Alton, Dean Alton, Gianna Alton, Daniel Lohmeyer, and Joseph Lohmeyer, all of Brick, NJ, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Agape Center, c/o Dan Frase, 320 Sourwood Drive, Hardy, VA 24101.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford from 2 to 4 pm and also 6 to 7 pm with a memorial service starting at 7 pm, Rev. Daniel Wheeler officiating.
