Hilda Wilmouth Craft Markham

Hilda Wilmouth Craft Markham, age 77, of Goode, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014 in a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie B. and Ida D. Craft.
Hilda was an active member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church where she served as former choir director, member of the WMU, and church clerk.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Melvin L. Markham of Goode; son, Larry O. Markham of Goode, and son and daughter-in-law, K. Wade and Peggy H. Markham of Forest, three grandchildren; Heather, Nicholas, and Robert; one brother, Herbert B. Craft of Moneta; sister-in-law, Ruth; sisters, Louise Martin of Roanoke, Virginia and Judson Bowles of Blue Ridge, Barbara and Sherman St. Clair of Blue Ridge, Effie and Ray Mayhew of Bedford; also numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Monday, October 13, 2014 in Tharp Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Boyles and Julie and Mark Flores officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Family and friends will be received Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
