Hugh Edward "Eddie" Owen

Hugh Edward “Eddie” Owen, II, 67 of Forest passed away on March 18, 2017. He was born in Danville, VA on February 27, 1950. He was the son of the late Hugh Edward Owen and Eleanor Tanner Owen.
Eddie retired from Hanwha Azdel as a lab technician. He was an avid enthusiast of motorcycles and trains, especially steam engines, and often visited transportation museums. He enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and watching NASCAR.
Eddie is survived by loving friend, Frances McCanless; his two Godsons, Brian McCanless and Brandon Booker; three friends who were like brothers, Donald Booth, David Hankins and Mike Hankins; also numerous other friends.

A memorial service and celebration of Eddie’s life will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg.
