Hunt Booker Asbury, 58, died August 22, 2024 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born August 2, 1966 to Jacqueline Waller Asbury and the late Lee Asbury at Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg.
Hunt was happily married to Debora Jean Asbury for 25 years, being totally smitten with her the minute they met. They shared many hopes and dreams and dearly loved each other.
He graduated from EC Glass High School and earned a BA in Marketing from Lynchburg College. That degree led to a successful career as a furniture salesman and sharpened his already significant power of persuasion.
A man of many interests, among his favorites, after family and friends, were bird hunting, good food(new potatoes with lots of butter, and Hunter Pie, actually all desserts), Brushy Mountain Club for Skeet, Trap and Sporting Clays, his uncle’s farm and life on Linden Ave.
In addition to his wife and mother his survivors include his children: Rachel Frischeisen (Lucas Nassef), Austin (Maddy Martell), Walter and Emily; his brothers; David (Amy) and Chris (Kara); three nephews; one niece; two uncles and many, many cousins among Wallers, Bookers, Moons and Hunts.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of the life he loved September 13, 2024, 5:30-8:30p.m. at the Aviary at Miller Park, 400 Grove Street, Lynchburg.
In lieu of flowers please consider a gift to the Youth Program/Hunt Asbury Memorial @Brushy Mountain Club (BMC) 1813 Izaak Walton Road, Hurt, VA24563.
