Hunter Everette Nash, 94, died Saturday May 10, 2014 at Odd Fellows Home, Lynchburg, Virginia. He was born August 22, 1919 in Appomattox, VA, a son of the late Lloyd Everette Nash and the late Mattie Harvey Nash.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Opal Beatrice Townsend Nash and two sons, Wiley L. Nash (Dianne) Forest, and Harold H. Nash (Gale) Lynchburg; three grand-children, Greg Nash (Denise) Memphis, TN, Kevin Nash (Carrie) Lynchburg, and Dari Nash Swift, Mechanicsville, VA; three great-grandchildren, Jim, Jessica, and Jordan.
He was predeceased by three sisters: Katie Nash Taylor, Evelyn Beatrice Nash and Ruth Nash Dawson.
He was a member of Timberlake Baptist Church and retired as the Traffic Manager for Limitorque Corp. after 36 years of service.
Visitation will be from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Timberlake Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas A. Dill, Sr., Dr. Bryan Ferrell, Pastor Richard Jett and Rev. Greg Nash officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Hill Memorial park.
