Healing has come and faith became reality for Ida Lillian Moore Claytor, age 80, of Rustburg, VA on Saturday, December 10, when she went home to be with her Lord and Savior and was reunited with her husband of 53 years, Paul P. Claytor, who preceded her in 2002. Ida was born August 24, 1931 in Campbell County, VA.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Billy M. and Mary C. Moore, two brothers, John Moore and \"Hansford\" Moore, five sisters, Nannie Lively, Katherine Ramsey, Rachel Cyrus, Adron Burford, Ora Cyrus and an unborn great-grandchild.
Ida is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda C. and J. David Critcher of the home, grandson and granddaughter-in-law, J.D. and Crissy Critcher of Rustburg, VA, granddaughter, Sarah Beth Critcher of Hillsville, VA and great-granddaughter, Halley Critcher of Rustburg, VA. She is also survived by two sisters, Laura Pugh of Lynchburg, VA, Hazel Edwards and her husband, James, of Rustburg, VA, and sister-in-law, Margaret Moore of Rustburg, VA along with several nieces and nephews.
Ida retired from General Electric in 1989 with 27 years of service. Ida loved to send cards, especially to her special granddaughter, Sarah Beth, and did so faithfully 5 days a week for almost 20 years (until she became unable to write). She was a member of Clearview Baptist Church, Rustburg, VA.
The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation for the special care and concern provided by Centra Hospice (especially Carrie, RN Carolyn, CNA and Dr. Brenda Stokes), and also to the offices of Dr. James Cure and Dr. Charles Joseph (especially Debbie Hawkins). Appreciation also goes to Pastor Wayne Greene, Clearview Baptist Church and Clearview Baptist Children\"™s Ministry for their prayers and cards.
A very special word of thanks goes to Margaret Moore for her daily hugs, encouragement & prayers during a long and difficult illness, to Buddy Moore and family (especially Lisa and Tammy) for their deeds of kindness and prayers, and to Hazel and James Edwards for their prayers, visits, and cards. Thanks also to Jennifer Trent, a very special waitress at Cracker Barrel, who always served with a smile, and to hairdresser, Laura Crank for her services.
Most of all, the family wishes to acknowledge God\"™s all-sufficient grace, that has given them strength to care for their loved one at home during her illness and will be their comfort in the days ahead. For the child of God, this is only our temporary home. Because of God\"™s salvation, we will meet again, \"\"¦when grace will lead us home.\"

Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 am, Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home, 220 Breezewood Dr, Lynchburg, VA with the Rev. J.D. Critcher, Rev. Dr. David Critcher and Rev. Bart Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home, or anytime at the home.
