Inis Ruff Agee

Inis Bennett Ruff Agee, 82, of Bedford, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Born February 4, 1929, Inis was a daughter of the late Hezzy Herman Ruff and Hattie Virginia Robertson Ruff.

In addition to her parents, Inis was preceded in death by her five brothers, two sons; Jerry Dean Agee and Fred Hubert Agee, and a son-in-law; Lewis Murray. 

Inis is survived by one son; Gary C. Agee and wife, Annette, two daughters; Sandra Hodges and husband, Paul, and Peggy Agee Murray, grandchildren; Tony Phillips, Lewis Murray and wife, Lisa, Ross H. Agee, great-grandchildren; Roxanne Murray and Carmen Murray; and sisters; Rebecca Ellis and husband, Bill, and Helen Rider.

The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Linda Beahm and the nurses and staff on the second floor of Oakwood Manor for their dedicated care.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Bedford Life Saving Crew, PO Box 161, Bedford, VA 24523.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 am Friday, June 3, 2011 at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Ray T. Lyons officiating. No formal visitation is scheduled; those wishing to pay their respects are invited to stop by the funeral home during the hours of 8 \"" 5, and other times at her daughter, Peggy\"™s, residence: 1049 Dickerson Mill Road.
