Irene Ernst

Irene Elsa Maria Lischer Ernst, 82, died peacefully on Friday, April 27th 2012 at her home in Madison Heights, Va. She was the wife of the late Herbert \"Jack\" Ernst. Irene was born on April 8, 1930 in Pirmasens, Germany to her parents the late Jakob Lischer and Maria Dahler Lischer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Engelbert Lischer and sister, Hildegard Sablionair\"™e.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Sandra E. Faust and fiancé, Steve Combs of Madison Heights, two brothers, Manfred Lischer and fiancée, Barbara Mayberry of Madison Heights and Dieter Lischer and wife Elke, of Lebach Germany, a sister, Gerdraud Kowalewski and husband, Edward and family of Syracuse, NY, a grandson, Christopher Lee Ernst Faust and wife, Stacie of Madison Heights, VA, two great grandchildren, Shaun Wayne Goff and Carmen Diane Faust and one step great granddaughter, Makayla Austin Ragland, one sister-in-law, Louise Goolsby and family.

A special thank you to Vickie and the staff at Hospice. Also, thanks to Renee for all of her support and help in caring for our loved one.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Spring Hill Cemetery with the Rev. D. Jack Hamilton officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home following the service.
