Iris Louise Smith, 75, of Madison Heights went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 8, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Julia Rumley and a sister, Ann Reese.
Her hobbies were gardening, cooking, and caring for her loved ones. She was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Franklin D. Smith (Madison Heights); daughter and son-in-law, Donna Lynn Hubele and Donald Hubele( Jackson Mississippi); son and daughter-in-law, Adrian D. Smith and Jessica Smith (Forest); brothers, Vance Rumley(Highpoint N.C.) and Richard Rumley(Charleston W.V.); sister, Kay Worrell(Highpoint N.C.); and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in Briarwood Memorial Park. Friends and family may visit Wednesday June 11, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home Madison Heights
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Thomas Road Baptist Church: 1 Mountain View Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
