Irma Lee Hobson Johnson

Irma Lee Hobson Johnson, 96, of Bedford died on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at her home.  She was the loving wife of the late Carl Johnson. Born June 19, 1921 in Bedford County, she was a daughter of the late Tom Hobson and Carrie Showalter Hobson. Irma is also preceded in death by her nine brothers and sisters.

 

Irma is survived by her daughter: Irma J. Clark; grandson: Aaron Jenkins; niece: Brenda Parker and her husband, Van; and nephews: John, David, and Chuck Hobson.

 

Irma had a green thumb when it came to raising a garden, she always planted enough so that she could share with her friends and neighbors. Irma was a member of Cool Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church.

 

Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home Chapel in Bedford conducted by Rev. Larry Myers. Interment will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.
