Isabell Craig Johnson

Isabell Catherine Craig Johnson, 96, of Bedford, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Born June 10, 1915 in Bedford County; she was a daughter of the late Paschal Hopkins Craig and Luettie Jane Stevens Craig.

Isabell was the last charter member of Bedford Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude E. Johnson; a daughter, Brenda J. Manley; a grandson, Sean O\"™Connell; and brothers, Billy, Garrett, Robert, and Warren Craig.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Nelson (Patria) Johnson, Evelyn (Jimmy) Watson, Geraldine O\"™Connell, Dorothy (Bob) Looney, Diane (Butch) Lacy, Phillip (Tammy) Johnson; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor Newman and Mamie Newman; a brother, Lewis P. Craig; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 PM, Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Bedford Church of God with Rev. Danny Newman and Rev. K. B. Arnold officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.
