Jack Joseph Noll, 79, of Lynchburg died Saturday, May 03, 2014 at his residence. He was the husband of Bonnie Tate Noll. Born in 1934 at North Ridgeville, Ohio, a son of the late Joseph Wendell Noll and the late Helen Noll.

Jack is survived by his devoted wife, as well as his adopted son: William Keith Noll of Sugar Hill, GA; step-daughter: Kimberly Ross and her husband, Elliot of Elk Mt., PA; and step-son, Bryan Cocke of Evington; three grandchildren: Jason Cocke and his wife, Amanda, Christopher Cocke and his wife, Sara, and Grace Ross and great-grandchildren: Travis and Camryn Cocke.; brothers: Richard Vincent Noll and his wife Mary Kay of Medina, Ohio and Michael James Noll of Denver, Colorado.

Jack was the retired President and General Manager of Chemcentral Corp. in Atlanta, GA. and Jamestown, North Carolina culminating 36 years of service to the chemical industry. He served in many capacities of not only industrial chemical channels but also contributed in works of the Sertoma Service civic organization. He interrupted college with 3½ years military service in the U. S. Air Force. He trained various military personnel escape and evasion techniques as a survival instructor. He enjoyed most of his life in the South, beginning in 1961 at Greensboro, N.C., Isle of Palms, S.C., Atlanta and Lynchburg. He openly and highly professed allegiance to his alma mater, The Ohio State University.

Jack was an avid golfer, with memberships at Sedgefield CC, Greensboro, NC; Atlanta CC, GA; and Boonsboro CC. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Atlanta Georgia, with Dr. Charles Stanley. When he retired to the SOUTH to Lynchburg, he came to enjoy the many conversations relating to the War between the States with his cronies and Rebel step-brothers, and with great humor even the negatives turned to succinct positives, both sides and issuant to succumb to laughter and the feeling of the brotherhood.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, 220 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, VA with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
