Jackie Petty, 82, gained her wings on March 18th, 2020, surrounded by loving family. Jackie was a feisty, tenacious and wildly independent woman born on December 20, 1937 in Kenvir, Kentucky. She was a collector of turtles, had an insatiable sweet tooth and loved her fur babies Penny and Oliver with all her heart.
She is preceded in death by Louis Moses – brother, Lincoln Dewey Moses – father, Edna Moses Czajka – mother and Robert Lee Moses – brother.
Jackie is survived by her daughters Pamela Casey and Angel Childress, her sons Mike Childress (wife Shelly) and Tracy Childress (wife Elzaan), sisters Kathleen (Kay) Keesee, Frankie Decker and Eula Gerhart, brother, Lincoln Dale Moses, 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Life event will be scheduled once travel restrictions have been lifted and we can safely gather. Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford is assisting the family.
