Jackson Logan Stell

Jackson Logan Stell, 17, of Forest and formerly of Crozet, died Monday, October 21, 2013. Born on March 24, 1996 in Tampa, FL; he was a son of Eric Scott Stell and Audra Hill Powers.

Jackson, also known as Jack, was a senior at Jefferson Forest High School. He enjoyed skateboarding, snowboarding, hanging out with friends, composing music and playing the guitar and bass in his own rock band.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by step-parents Joan Stell of Forest, and Hilliard Powers of Madison, AL; a brother, William David Stell; sister, Amanda Grace Stell, both of Charlottesville; stepbrother, Kristian Alexander Kemp of San Diego, CA; niece, Braelynn Logan Stell of Charlottesville; paternal grandparents, Bill and Eloise Stell of Calera, AL; maternal grandparents, Sammy and Deborah Hill of Alabaster, AL, and Julie and Joe Griffin of Rosalia, WA; and many friends and relatives.

Jack served a summer internship at Music Resource Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the Music Resource Center, 105 Ridge Street, Charlottesville, VA 22902. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 3 \"" 5 PM at Tharp Funeral Home, 320 N. Bridge Street, Bedford. A memorial service will be conducted at 6 PM, Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Hill and Wood Funeral Service, 201 N. 1st Street, Charlottesville, VA 22902. Any floral contributions should be sent directly to Hill and Wood, Charlottesville.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
