Jacob Edward Peterson, 29, of Forest, Va., went to be with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 14, 2016.
Jacob was born December 12, 1986 in Decatur, Ill., a son of Edwin Peterson and Theresa Sailor Peterson. Jacob graduated from Jefferson Forest High School in 2005. He received an Associate’s Degree in Golf Management from the Myrtle Beach Golf Academy. He was employed as a Golf Pro at Ocean Ridge Plantation and then went into business as an owner/operator of the Windy Hill Corner Store in North Myrtle Beach. He was a member of Hyland Heights Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Jacob is survived by his brothers, Lucas and Michael Peterson, his sister, Shelby Peterson, along with his grandparents, Ron and Pat Peterson, Beth McHood, Tom McHood and Joe Sailor. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends to cherish his memory.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Hyland Heights Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Hyland Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Weiser officiating.
