Jacqueline A. Hamilton Chavez

Jacqueline Ann Hamilton Chavez, 82, of Lynchburg, died Saturday, January 24th after a long illness. She was the wife of Manuel D. Chavez, Jr.
Born in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Hamilton and the late Sarah Watts of Lynchburg. Jackie was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
Jackie was preceded in death by a son, Mark Chavez.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Anita Cannon, of Lynchburg, two sons, Tony Chavez, of Crozet, and Matt Chavez, of Lynchburg,; ten grandchildren: Casey Chavez, Colton Chavez, Aislynn Turner, April Smith, Seth Cannon, Robert Schmutz, Grace Chavez, Brooke Chavez, Caroline Thomas and Christen Thomas; a sister, Kitty Lloyd and a host of family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 5:00 pm Friday, January 30th, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Monsignor Michael McCarron officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the Funeral Mass and a reception will follow immediately in the church Fellowship Hall.
