Jacqueline Ann Johnson Hagood
Jacqueline Ann Johnson Hagood, 44, of Bedford, died unexpectedly Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in Belize, Central America. She was born December 18, 1967 in Lynchburg, VA, a daughter of Marilyn Elizabeth Smith Holt of Forest and Larry Wayne Johnson of Lynch Station.
As a daughter, Jackie had a special relationship with her mother who she always loved and appreciated dearly as well as the love she had for her husband. As a mother herself, her children were her life. Jackie was a very loving mother and sponsor who gave unselfishly of herself to others before her own needs. Not only did she give tirelessly to others but she also adored her cats and dogs.
Jackie was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, William Luck Smith; paternal grandparents, Eva and Landon L. Johnson; and an uncle, Kenny Johnson. In addition to her parents, Jackie is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Hagood; two sons, John Lucas Sullivan and Zackary Thomas Sullivan all of Bedford; step-daughter, Krysta D. Hagood of Lynchburg; three brothers, Larry Brian Johnson of Lynchburg, Derek Scott Johnson of Lynch Station, and Stephen Dwayne Johnson of Lynch Station; maternal grandmother, Nellie L. Smith of Bedford; four uncles, Terry Johnson of Huddleston, Glenn Johnson of Bedford, Frank Allen Smith of Evington, and Russell William Smith of Bedford; and numerous special cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to support the education of her children, Lucas and Zack, and may be made to Jackie Johnson Hagood Memorial at Wells Fargo, c/o Marilyn Holt, 202 Goose Meadow Dr., Forest, VA 24551.
A celebration of Jackie\"™s life will be conducted at 11 AM, Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Floyd Archie and Pastor Marc Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Southern Baptist Church Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
