Jacqueline Molean Collins

Jacqueline Molean Collins, more fondly known as Jackie, age 66, of Forest, Virginia passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on December 20, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Cecil Collins, Sr. and Mildred Gibson Collins. 

Jackie was born on September 23, 1957, in Lynchburg, Virginia. She attended school at Nelson County High School and then Longwood University. She went on to pursue her career as a Directory Analysis Specialist and Manager at the United States Postal Service. 

Jackie had recently been attending Impact Church. She enjoyed taking care of her loved ones, being with family, baking, gardening, volunteering at her grandchildren’s schools and spending time at Smith Mountain Lake. 

Jackie is survived by her children: Nicole Rodriguez and Tiffany Rodriguez; her grandchildren: Yecenia, Nayeli, and Misael; her siblings: Cecil Collins and Ronald Collins; and many other loving family and friends. 

In addition to her parents Jackie is predeceased by her late significant other, who was the love of her life, Henry Thaxton. 

A visitation will be held on December 29, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg. A memorial service will be held on December 29, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg with Rev. Dr. Michael Fitzgerald officiating.
