Jacqueline Hume Tiches

Jacqueline Hume Tiches, 84, of Fairfax, VA passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. 

Jacqueline was born October 25, 1940, in Amherst County. She was the daughter of Jackson Homer Hume and Edith Meacham Hume. In addition to her parents, Jacqueline was preceded in death by her brother, Sherrill "Mike" Hume. 

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Peter Charles Tiches; son Andrew Tiches; grandsons, George and Victor Tiches; sister, Gail Falwell and her family, and multiple nephews and nieces. 

Jacqueline was a member of Columbia Baptist Church. Jacqueline was also a Mary Kay Representative for over 50 years. 

The family would especially like to thank her many dear friends and neighbors for all their support. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation in lieu of flowers. 

A service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Tharp Funeral Home and Crematory, Lynchburg, VA. In addition, another Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Grace Church, 9800 Burke Lake Rd. Burke, VA 22015.
