James Edward Sines, Jr.

James Edward Sines, Jr. 58 of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at his residence. He was born on August 3, 1959 in Bedford, VA. A son of the late James Edward Sines, Sr. and Annie Isabel Overstreet Sines. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, James E. “Shorty” Sines, III.
James was retired form General Shale Brick in Blue Ridge. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, watching NASCAR, drag racing and most importantly spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren.
James is survived by his loving wife, Dawn Marie Sines; step daughter, Gynn Scott; two granddaughters, Ada and Ericka; four grandsons, Julian, James IIII “Jay”, Malichi, and Ezekiel; five sisters, Ann Hamilton and husband, Billy, Lisa Sines, Tina Conway, Anna Hoffman, Shelby Gordon; three brothers, Jerry Sines, Curtis Sines, and Douglas Hoffman and wife, Heather; also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many special friends.

A celebration of James’s life will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in Tharp Funeral Chapel in Bedford with David “Bubba” Carter, Jr. officiating.
