James Gilbert Davis
August 25, 1941 — March 31, 2019
James G. Davis, 77, of Concord, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 31, 2019 after a three year battle with cancer.
He leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Dianne L. Davis and their two children, Kelley Ann Davis of Linden, Va. and Brian Davis of Lynchburg, Va.; a sister Nancy Kudatzky of Medford, NJ; three brothers Jack Davis of Frankford, DE, Richard Davis of Atco, NJ, and Donald Davis of San Leandro, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents Winifred and Gilbert Davis of Delaware.
Jim worked as an electrical draftsman at Limitorque Corp for 36 years before retiring in 2002. He was an avid bowler on different leagues for many years, winning trophies and awards before he had to stop due to his cancer. His real passion was growing his veggies (58 varieties) in his garden and he always planted enough to feed the entire neighborhood. Jim and his wife attended Provident UMC, Rustburg, Va.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Emaculate Tebit and her staff at Alan Pearson Cancer Center for the wonderful care given him during his illness.
Honoring Jim’s wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no church service or visitation.
