James A. Hammack died December 25, 2017 at the Carriage Hill Retirement Home in Bedford. Mr. Hammack was born on June 7, 1936 in Kanawha County, West Virginia. Mr. Hammack was a retired Chief Petty Officer from the Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran.
He is survived by his wife Joyce, children Vickie Fujita, Steven Davis, Sherry Johnson, William Kim Davis, Stephanie McNabb, Brian Hammack, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at noon at the New Prospect Baptist Church, 2209 Buffalo Springs Turnpike, Monroe, Virginia.
