James “Jim” Ray Harmon, 69, of Big Island, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Trish Harmon.
Born on October 13, 1946, in Tennessee, Jim was a son of the late James G. Harmon and the late Susie M. West Harmon.
In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by three daughters, Mary Sue Dayhoff, Jamie Nare, and Mandy Harmon; his step-daughter, Sonya Anderson; his grandchildren; his siblings, Susan Howell, Sheila Partain, Ida Dixon, Shirley Cook, Bill Harmon, and Earl Harmon; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jim worked as an electrician for Hickey Electric for fifteen years. Outside of work, he enjoyed the outdoors and woodworking, and caring for his goats. He was a beloved friend to many, and will truly be missed by all.
A celebration of Jim’s life will take place on Friday, August 26, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home in Bedford with Pastor Brad Bell officiating.
